FAAD2 is a reference decoder frontend and decoder library for MPEG2 and MPEG4 AAC.  The supported AAC profiles are HE, Main, LC, LTP, and LD.  It also supports all these profiles in their ER (Error Resilient) equivalent.  This decoder can be used for DRM (Digital Radio mondiale) without any major changes. The 2.0 version of FAAD2 adds the ability to decode HE AAC (High Efficiency) and PS AAC (Parametric Stereo) files.
